I’m delighted to share my article, “Rolling with Intention” published in the October 2026 issue of Thresholds, the quarterly professional journal of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy’s (BACP) Spirituality division.
Drawing on backgammon, existential psychotherapy and Sufi thought, the article explores a question that feels deeply important to me: How do we stay engaged with life when we cannot control what happens next?
Bringing together psychology, spirituality and the wisdom of lived experience, I reflect on the delicate balance between intention and surrender, agency and uncertainty. This piece is particularly meaningful to me because it brings together different strands of my professional and creative life, exploring how we can continue to participate in life with openness, courage and authenticity, even when the outcome remains unknown.
I invite you to read the article and reflect on what it might mean to make your move, trust the process and stay in the game.
